Nashville, Tennessee Travel Guide || Spring 2023

Where to stay, eat, and explore in Nashville, Tennessee this Spring

Planning a trip to Nashville? This post has some fun recommendations for you. You will have a blast and certainly will be busy! If you love country music, and even if you aren’t the biggest fan, you will enjoy every second of your trip.

Where to Stay

During my most recent trip to Nashville I stayed at The Hampton Inn by Hilton Nashville Airport Century Place. It was a very convenient location to the airport as well as downtown Nashville, but the staff wasn’t the friendliest. I do still recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quick and easy drive to the airport, and not too heavy of a traffic drive into downtown as well. Everything was super clean and the breakfast was good, just some staffing issues that could happen anywhere.

Where to Eat

Bar-B-Cutie Smokehouse

I am a big barbeque gal, so I had to try Bar-B-Cutie while in Nashville. There are so many great barbeque places in Nashville, but this was what got recommended to me the most, and boy was it yummy! The service was quick and delightful and the food was incredible. Most of the options on the menu come with lots of sides so you definitely get your money’s worth here.

Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack

If you are on the hunt for hot chicken in Nashville go to Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack. There are a few different locations so you’ll definitely be able to find one. I am not the biggest fan of spicy food and I still thoroughly enjoyed this chicken. You can choose your spice level, and I went to the second lowest which was still super spicy in my opinion. The fries were also super good and the homemade lemonade!

Wanna Spoon Cereal Bar

If you love cereal you need to add Wanna Spoon Cereal Bar to your Nashville itinerary. I love cereal and I also loved the photos I was seeing of this place so I added it to my trip plan. I am itching to go back, it was the cutest place ever. There is a “fruit loop” wall with a fake swing set up for photos, a giant spoon with a few murals outside, and an adorable seating area to take a mini break and enjoy Nashville on your trip. I got the combo of Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch with cookie dough bites, it may sound crazy, but man it was yummy!

Five Daughters Bakery

Donuts, donuts, and more donuts at Five Daughters Bakery! I think that these are the best donuts I have ever had in my entire life. They are so filling, full of incredible flavor, and the ones with filling are filled in the most unique way. I don’t even know how to describe it, but I show what I mean in the vlog at the bottom of this post! There are also super cute photo areas here, it is right across the street from Wanna Spoon.

Fuse Sports Bar

Fuse Sports Bar is inside of the Gaylord Opryland Resort, just across a parking lot from The Grand Ole Opry. I went here for a quick drink and a few appetizers as my dinner before going to The Grand Ole Opry for a show. It was quick, delicious, and the restaurant/bar had great vibes.

What to Do

Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center

If you have time, I highly recommend going to The Gaylord Opryland Resort to explore the gardens and walk around this magnificent hotel. I could have spent an entire day here. There are lots of good restaurants, and even shopping, inside. It is super convenient to The Grand Ole Opry which is nice.

Centennial Park

Centennial Park is home to the Parthenon of Nashville. I thought it was really neat seeing a replica of the Parthenon right in the center of this park. I spent a month studying abroad last summer in Greece so it brought back lots of memories for me. This park is perfect for an afternoon walk and to escape some of the buzz of the city.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

If you know me, you know I love country music so The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum was top of my list. The tickets are a bit pricey, but they do have student ticket pricing which was nice. The museum has so much to see and I learned so many new facts about my favorite artists! The Hall of Fame is in the same building as the museum which is super convenient. It was so neat seeing who all is in the Hall of Fame versus those in the museum.

Stoney Clover Lane

I love, love, love Stoney Clover Lane and had seen photos of their Nashville store so I had to stop by. Although I did not buy anything this time around, they do have super cute Nashville-exclusive patches! There is also an adorable photo wall set up in the back of the store.

Grand Ole Opry

The first stop I took, after getting food haha, was to The Grand Ole Opry. I am so intrigued by the history of The Grand Ole Opry and the backstage tour was incredible, I highly recommend it. They also handed out coupons for a show that week at the end of the tour, so I ended up heading back during my trip to see a debut and a performance which was a large highlight of my trip.

Murals

Nashville is famous for a lot of things, one of those being its fun murals all over the city. I wanted to find as many as I could and I definitely found a lot. I have all of them linked on the Out Of Office app. Download the app to see addresses for all of these murals as well as additional photo ideas for these stops.

All in all, I had an incredible trip and I know you will too!

Xoxo,

Anna
